Dr. Mehmet Akif Ramazanoğlu, I graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2007. I have always been proud to be a part of Cerrahpaşa’s medical tradition and a student of this long-established institution. I believe that the most important gain I acquired during my medical education is a medical approach that centers the patient, not the disease.
I completed my urology residency training at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital and received my Urology Specialist title in 2017. Prior to my specialization, I worked as a general practitioner in Giresun and Istanbul, where I had the opportunity to experience firsthand that medicine is not only about knowledge but also an art requiring patience, empathy, and responsibility.
Following my specialization, I worked successively at Rize Kaçkar State Hospital, Rize State Hospital, and Trabzon Kanuni Training and Research Hospital. During this time, I deepened my office experience by working with a wide patient population.
Between 2021 and 2022, I worked as a fellow at the Department of Andrology, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Istanbul University, under the esteemed professor Prof. Dr. Ateş Kadıoğlu, one of the pioneering figures in the field of andrology in our country. This period was a significant turning point in advancing my scientific perspective and office approach, particularly in the areas of male sexual dysfunction and male infertility.
In 2023, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Health Sciences University, Trabzon. While continuing my academic work, I have adopted as my fundamental principle the reflection of current scientific data into office practice and providing my patients with an ethical, transparent, and individualized treatment approach.
I believe that medicine is not just about diagnosis and treatment; it is an art that requires dedicating time, listening, and building trust. I make it my fundamental principle to carefully listen to each patient’s story and create a personalized treatment plan based on scientific data.
As of 2025, I have begun working independently in my own office to dedicate more quality time to my patients and provide them with higher quality, personalized healthcare. This approach aims to strengthen privacy, trust, and a sustainable patient-doctor relationship, particularly in the field of andrology.
My areas of particular interest are:
Andrology (male sexual dysfunction), male infertility, and prostate diseases are among the areas of expertise.
I believe that medicine is not just about treating, but also about listening, understanding, and building trust; and I consider approaching each patient with this awareness an integral part of my professional stance.
