Premature Ejaculation

Uncontrolled ejaculation can negatively impact sexual intercourse and personal relationships. Premature ejaculation can reduce sexual satisfaction for both the individual and their partner.

Premature ejaculation is ejaculation that occurs involuntarily, just before or shortly after the start of sexual intercourse. This can negatively affect the sexual satisfaction of both the individual and their partner, and can lead to relationship problems. While the average ejaculation time varies from person to person, diagnosis is based more on the individual's level of control over ejaculation and the satisfaction they experience, rather than just the duration.

Premature ejaculation can occur in two forms: lifelong (primary) or acquired (secondary). The primary form is usually based on genetic or neurobiological causes, while the secondary form is associated with stress, psychological pressures, relationship problems, or certain physical illnesses. Accurate diagnosis and an individualized approach are critical for an effective and lasting treatment process.

Causes of Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is a complex condition often resulting from a combination of factors. These factors can be both psychological and physical in origin. At Androzon, we carefully evaluate each patient's history and plan an individualized treatment plan tailored to the underlying causes.

Many men experience premature ejaculation due to psychological factors. This is often related to an individual’s sexual history, emotional state, and mental processes.

  • Performance Anxiety: The fear of inadequacy during sexual intercourse can lead to a loss of control.

  • Stress and Emotional Burden: A demanding work schedule, relationship conflicts, or depressive states can negatively impact the release process.

  • Past Trauma: Negative or traumatic sexual experiences at a young age can cause persistent reflex disorders.

In some cases of premature ejaculation, underlying physical health problems play a significant role. These factors are often related to the hormonal and neurological systems.

  • Hormonal Imbalances: Deficiencies or excesses of certain hormones, particularly testosterone, can affect ejaculation time.

  • Chronic Prostatitis: Long-term inflammation of the prostate gland can increase nerve sensitivity, making it difficult to control ejaculation.

  • Nervous System Disorders: Disorders affecting the spinal cord and peripheral nervous system can lead to irregularities in the ejaculation reflex.
